What types of assets can you inventory?
Depending on the agreed scope, we can document vehicles, machinery, equipment, tools, trailers, furniture, and other tangible business assets. The inventory plan is tailored to the types of assets, their locations, and the level of detail required.
Do you perform on-site physical verification?
Yes, on-site verification can be included in an engagement. The locations, asset categories, access requirements, and verification procedures are agreed in advance.
Can you reconcile the inventory with our accounting records?
Yes. We can compare physical inventory results with available fixed-asset registers, general ledger information, and supporting schedules, then document discrepancies for review. The extent of reconciliation depends on the records provided and the agreed scope.
Can you reconcile our asset records with insurance and financing schedules?
We can compare available records, identify inconsistencies, and organize supporting documentation. Your insurer, broker, lender, accountant, or other relevant advisor remains responsible for its respective coverage, financing, valuation, or accounting determinations.
Do you provide formal appraisals or certified valuations?
Our asset inventory service documents and reconciles asset information; it does not constitute a formal appraisal or certified valuation. If a qualified valuation is required, we can help identify where the inventory documentation may support that separate process.
Is this a one-time project or an ongoing service?
It can be either. Some businesses need a baseline physical inventory and reconciliation. Others need periodic verification and an ongoing process for recording acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and other changes.
What do we receive at the end of the project?
Deliverables are defined during scoping and may include a structured asset register, identifying details, photographs, location and condition observations, reconciliation findings, and a list of items requiring follow-up.
